Great Places to Party in Omaha

Whether you live in Omaha or just visiting, there is one thing you ought to know, if you are looking for something to do you are never going to get bored here. Omaha offers diversity, incongruity, astonishiment, and departure from the commonplace. There are quirky little shops and almost any kind of live music you can think of. There are brew pubs, dance clubs, sports bars, walking art tours, off-Broadway shows, zoos, bat caves, water parks, old-time cinema houses, a children’s museum, martini bars, botanical gardens, opera houses, live jazz, blues, brews, and barbecues.

If you find yourself there and you have a hankering for a good time then the first order of business is to head over to the Old Market Arts and Entertainment District which happens to be a nationally recognized historic site where you can see artists and street performers everywhere you look, and where pretty much every day there is an event happening. The district is the “real deal” turn-of-the-century berg with its original architecture and brick work streets from where can be heard the boisterous and convivial sounds coming forth from the jaunty bars and restaurants lining them. Within the district there are plenty of places to park yourself and watch the “otherworldly” go by.

When the sun goes down the city of Omaha comes alive and entertainment opportunities abound. You can find saloons and taverns that serve everything from local microbrews to fine wines. Omaha is a city that likes its blues, and if that suits you, then just find a quiet lounge to kick back and take it it in. If you want to rock, head over to the Riverfront area where you can dance the night away in any of the indie rock clubs. In the summer time they take the music outside with their concerts near the river front. There are so many ways to enjoy the city that you need to inform your friends that this place is a mandatory stop on your next road trip.
